Everyone wears white, a symbol of peace

Many in black, a somber release

Gathered to celebrate a life so dear

The one who's departed, now beyond fear

Tears flow like rivers, the loss so grand

Unimaginable pain, in this empty land

A parent's heart, broken and sore

To see a child go before, forever more

Emotions bundled, trying to be strong

Letting the final goodbyes, all day long

The heart is heavy, the grief so real

But memories of you, we'll forever feel

Rest in peace, dear one, may you find your way

To a place where love and joy never fade.
